Travel on Interrail and join the Interrail Summer Party in Budapest

The Interrail summer of 2016 has a new highlight: the big Interrail Summer Party will take place on 8th August in Budapest in the Club A38 - a World´s Best Club awarded by Lonely Planet.
And even better: Holders of an Interrail Pass valid for 2016 get FREE ENTRANCE and one additional person can be brought to the party FOR FREE. Non-Interrailers are also welcome but need to pay an entrance fee of 15 Euro.
The party is open to 1400 people, registration is to be done on the website www.interrailparty.com. The website is already open and registration starts on 1st July. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve principle.

Global Pass and One Country Pass

Discover Europe while being kind to the environment and to your budget! The Global Pass gives you the chance to travel the entire continent, while the One Country Pass lets you focus on a single country and explore every corner of it.

  • When you buy a Global Pass, you can choose the flexible or consecutive options. The flexible pass lets you select specific days when you want to travel within a set period of time. The consecutive or continuous pass is valid on every day within the validity period.
  • The One Country Pass is available for flexible travel, i.e. you choose on which 3, 4, 6 or 8 days you want to travel within one month.
    NEW: The Interrail One Country Pass is now available for senior citizens at a reduced price.

InterRail is open to anyone who has been a permanent resident in Europe, Russia or Turkey for at least 6 months.

The following price categories apply:

Youth: aged 12 to 25
Adults: aged over 25
Seniors: aged 60 and over

Applicable is the traveller's age on the ticket's first day of validity.
Period of validity for the Interrail Global Pass: 5 travel days to be selected within a 15-day period
10 travel days to be selected within a month
15 continuous travel days
22 continuous travel days
1 travel month starting from any day
7 days within 1 month
15 days within 1 month

Start of the period of validity: midnight of the first day of validity

End of the period of validity: midnight of the last day of validity as stated on the ticket.

The period of validity cannot be extended at a later point.
Period of validity for the Interrail One Country Pass: 3 travel days to be selected within 1 month
4 travel days to be selected within 1 month
6 travel days to be selected within 1 month
8 travel days to be selected within 1 month

Start of the period of validity: any day of the month.

End of the period of validity: midnight of the same date the following month.
If the first day of validity is the first day of the month, the period of validity ends on the last day of the month.

The period of validity cannot be extended at a later point.

Validity: Name, date of birth, country of residence and ID card number or passport number must be stated on the pass.
A suitable proof of residence must always be carried, as must the ID document specified on the pass.

Before boarding a train, bus or boat, each journey must be recorded in the Journey Details section of the Travel Report in blue or black ink. If these details are not recorded prior to travel, the traveller risks having to pay a full fare ticket and a fine.
Advance sales period: Interrail passes can be purchased 11 months in advance; you can also buy several passes at the same time with consecutive periods of validity.
Exchanges/refunds: Refunds can be applied for if an Interrail Pass is returned to the point of sale before the first day of validity, or up to one month after the last day of validity if the pass has been certified as "UNUSED" by a European Railway before the first day of validity. In both cases the entire cost is refunded, less a 15% cancellation fee.
Passes (partially) used, lost, damaged or stolen will not be refunded or replaced.

In the event that you experience three or more train delays that are longer than 60 minutes each, you can request compensation from the Eurail Group. However, in some of these cases, the Conditions of Carriage from the specific carrier may be favourable to claims. For further information, please refer to www.eurailgroup.org/compensation
Interrail in your country of residence: You cannot purchase an Interrail One Country Pass for your country of residence. Journeys towards a border stations/the airport and back in your country of residence are included in the Interrail Global Pass.
