Conditions for exchanging and refunding tickets ordered online

Would you like to change or cancel your ticket? This is how you do it!

1. Go to your personal mobility portal "My Bahn".
2. Click "My bookings" (see the image alongside).
3. Cancel your online ticket at the conditions stated below.
4. You can then book your new journey in Travel Information.

If you wish to exchange or receive a refund for tickets which were not booked online but as conventional tickets and for products with a compulsory reservation, you have to submit the ticket and corresponding seat reservation.***

Courier tickets Cancellation of the whole service without charge up to 18:00 hours on working days (Mon. - Sat.) before collection and only before the outward journey.

For the outward and return journey, cancellation of a single journey over the Hermes Hotline (0180 6 236723, 14 cents/min. using a landline, charges differ for mobile phones).

** If you change your travel plans the reservation of a specific train with a Sparpreis saver fare ticket can be cancelled for a fee of EUR 15.00.
In addition, the difference between the Sparpreis saver fare and the flexible fare is to be paid.
*** The postage charge is not refunded.

If your ticket reservation for a specific train cannot be met, e.g. due to the train being delayed, you can continue your journey with the next train at no additional charge. You can also find details on returning and changing tickets and refunds for tickets in our GTC.
