Reduced-price main cards are available to people aged 60 and over, to people claiming full disability benefits and to people with severe disabilities (classification level of 70% and higher in German severely disabled pass). Please include proof of your age with your order (copy of passport/ID, etc.). Customers aged 26 and under automatically receive a My BahnCard 50.
Reduced-price partner cards are available to spouses and civil partners who have the same place of residence as the BahnCard 50 holder (proof must be provided via a copy of the ID card or, if the BahnCard holder is from outside Germany, via the original or copy of their residency registration document).

A BahnCard 50 is valid for one year as of the first day of validity. It is automatically extended by one year if it is not cancelled in writing 6 weeks before it is due to expire.

A BahnCard 50 does not feature a photo. When travelling, please bring your passport or national ID card with you for presentation during ticket inspection. No photo ID is required for holders under the age of 16.
