Museum Frieder Burda
The New York architect Richard Meier described his Museum Frieder Burda building, which opened in October 2004, as a “jewel in the park.” The daylight museum displays its unique features in the interior: The filtered incident light ensures that the art on display is versatilely illuminated, shifting both over the course of the day as well as the year. Generously placed windows allow looking out into the adjacent romantic landscaped garden. Special exhibitions alternate with displays of works from the Frieder Burda Collection.
