How to Book your Ticket for Travelling by Train

There are different ways for you to book your rail ticket. Whichever one you choose - either on the web, over the phone or at the counter with personal advice - we have listed all options for you.

Booking a ticket online or over the phone

Online Ticket

Internet booking is the easiest way to buy a rail ticket. After registering with our website you can book your trains tickets online and print them directly at home, this is a really convenient and fast way of ticket purchase. Otherwise, our service center will be pleased to send the tickets by post to your home address for a processing/delivery charge of 3.50 euros.

International Call Centre

You can book your ticket and seat reservation over the phone and have your tickets sent to any address or collect your ticket from ticket vending machines in major train stations. Timetable information is also available.

Personal Contact - An agency near you

There are many DB Bahn partners with agencies all over the world and near you who are authorized to sell tickets and offer advice. All of them have information on current special offers and provide services to make your rail travel as convenient as possible.

Inspection on the train

Remember that if you book online you must show the proof of identification you selected in the booking process. This can be a credit card, your BahnCard, or an electronic cash (EC) card. Please keep your original ticket with you at all times while on board.
