Conditions for exchanging and refunding tickets ordered online

You can cancel a ticket yourself (depending on the cancellation policy) in the booking review or order search at www.bahn.com. For more information please visit refund conditions. You can also cancel a ticket that was ordered via your cell phone in the booking review section at m.bahn.de.

If you would like to exchange your ticket, you can book your new trip in the travel information section after cancelling your ticket. You can reach your booking review section via your personal mobility portal "My Bahn" under the menu item "My bookings."

City Night Line Until 10 days prior to the departure: 25% cancellation fee, minimum 15 euros per seat and night.

From 9 days until the day of departure but before train departure (also applies if customer boards the booked train after 0:00 the following day): 50% cancellation fee, minimum 15 euros per seat and night.

After train departure: exchange and refund not possible
Luggage and courier service Cancellation of the total service is free of charge if it is done until 6 p.m. on a working day (Mon-Sat) before the collection and only before the outward journey.

** If you change your travel plans the reservation of a specific train with a Savings fare (Sparpreis) can be cancelled for a fee of 15 euros.

Would you like to change or cancel your ticket? This is how you do it!

1. Go to your personal mobility portal "My Bahn".
2. Click on "My bookings" (see image alongside).
3. Cancel your online ticket at the conditions stated above.
4. You can then book your new journey in Travel Information.
