We can now offer you an even better service for your online booking on bahn.com: with immediate effect payment by PayPal is also available to you. This free payment option is integrated in the booking process and can be selected as a payment method alongside payment by direct debit or credit card. You just need a log-in for PayPal which you can request for the first time during the booking process.
What is PayPal?
PayPal is a method of payment for which there are no charges and which guarantees a secure payment on bahn.com. For the payment you log into PayPal with your registration details and confirm the payment. Your bank account or credit card details are lodged with your PayPal account, so they are not transmitted during the payment process.
How does PayPal function on bahn.com?
Enter your journey details as usual and at the payment stage select PayPal as the method of payment. You will be automatically transferred to PayPal where you enter the site with your log-in details. You then confirm the payment on PayPal. The booking will be confirmed to you by bahn.com.
What special conditions must be noted?
Currently vouchers issued by PayPal cannot be used as payment on bahn.com. If you wish to exchange an online ticket which has been paid for through PayPal, the value of the exchange is credited to your PayPal account. It is currently not possible to use the PayPal method of payment in the Fahrkartenshop (Ticket Shop).
