General requirements:

You can obtain a DB sales license if you satisfy the following conditions:

• You have an established customer base or a convincing business concept with an attractive sales forecast for rail products per full calendar year.

• You use a DB-certified Global Distribution System (GDS), e.g. AMADEUS, GALILEO or Sabre, with most laser printers.
Please contact your GDS provider for further information.

• You agree
- to have the employees who will be entrusted with the sale of rail products trained in ticketing by your GDS provider and,
- after obtaining the DB licence, to indicate that your agency is a licensed DB agency by prominent and permanent display of exterior advertising in
accordance with the specifications of DB
- to provide security either in form of a bank guarantee or as a certain deposit in a Deutsche Bahn bank account.

Contracts and conditions of sale:

If you satisfy the conditions for licensing as a DB Agency, you will be asked to sign an Agency Agreement. The Agency Agreement grants you access to the attractive DB Sales system which is the most comprehensive rail system within Europe. As a DB agent you will be able to provide your customers with German and European rail tickets while benefiting from an attractive commission.

Aside from becoming a DB Agency you can sell our products by integrating the DB online booking interface into your website.
